FINAL DECISIONS FOR DIGIPAK - FRONT COVER

We have decided to have use the photograph of the artist below on the front cover of our digipak. The reasons why we chose this photograph is because it is eye catching and we think it represents the mood that we are going for.

We have wrote the artists name and the song on the cross which is going across the photo, the font which we have used is CHARLEMAGNE STD, this is an all capital font so it stands out and it is great for this particular genre, the colour of the text is different for the artist and the song, Avril Lavigne is grey/black whereas My Happy Ending is in Red, all of the text on the front cover has a bevel and emboss effect to it, this makes it stand out more and looks as if there is a shadow behind it. The reason why we have chosen this text and colours that we have is because we believe that it goes with the whole emo/punk genre and would be the typical font used on a CD such as this.

The back cover is a silhouette of the male character (Tom) in our music video, he is holding a broken rose. We are going to photograph him with his back to us and all in black, we have chosen to do this in the drama studio as it has a white wall in the centre and lights above, so we can make sure that we just get the outline of Tom.
Below is the photograph of Tom as the silhouette which we are going to use:

The white wall and lights in the drama studio have worked really well as we have got bright light in front of Tom and he is all black. Also the way that you can still see the colour of the rose in his hands has is great.
