DESIGNING OUR DIGIPAK - INSIDE COVER

For the inside of our DVD cover we have chosen to have a red rose in the bottom left corner, we have talked about making it black and white and just bringing out the red of the petals, but then we decided to remove the background that was on the photograph and just do it black, below is a screen shot of what I have been talking about:

You can see that the background before was a brown colour, but we used the magic wand tool on Photoshop to remove the background, we also talked about taking away the green leaves on the stalk as it doesn't look right.

The screen shot below is of the rose after the magic wand tool has been used:

This screen shot is of the right hand side of the DVD cover, where the CD is going to go. We are doing exactly the same thing as we did with the rose, but because the petals weren't as bright/red as the rose on the left, we had to make them brighter as we was trying to make a trail with the petals, so they all must look the same colour.

This below shows the rose and the petals together as they are going to be on the inside of out DVD cover:

We thought that it looked a bit bare with just the rose and the petals so we decided to place the lyrics on the right inside cover in white so that they stand out. Below is a screen shot of the finished inside of our DVD cover:
